Give Your Favorite Bloggers Some Love

by Paula on August 2, 2008

Okay, I am still considered a newbie in the blogosphere, but despite that I feel a strong kinship with my fellow bloggers.

When I read someone’s blog that I can really relate to, I feel like commenting, “WE’RE GOING TO BE BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!!!” But since I really don’t want to scare away a potential new bloggy friend, I stifle my crazies (for now) and instead opt for something a little less stalker-ish, like “I really enjoyed reading your post.”

Since the world o’blogs has allowed me to find a place I really feel that I belong, it makes me sad to hear that so many of my blog buddies have fallen on hard times. Apparently, July was the shits for bloggers. See, some bloggers make a living on their blogs (I can only DREAM about doing this!), and the more clicks they have, the more money they make from advertisers. It’s really that simple.

Soooo, I’m joining Motherhood Uncensored to participate in Blog the Recession Month. All you gotta do is make a point to click through and read the blogs you subscribe to or enjoy reading. And if you want to really help you can click on some older posts and read those or even click on the ads if you’re feeling extremely generous (you don’t have to actually buy anything). That’s it!

So, how’s about it? Wanna help Blog the Recession? I knew you did! We may not be able to do much about the $4 a gallon gas or the record-high unemployment rate, but we can help out a cyber-friend AND find entertainment, tips, recipes, or just companionship at the same time! Score! You guys are the BEST!

We’re gonna be…no, wait, that was the scary response, right? ;)

Great, no fabulous idea. Such a no brainer…which is why I don’t even think of clicking the ads when I’m reading (I’m pretty sure my brain went on vaca when the first child arrived). Thanks!

Blogging is always slower in the summer… Kids are home from school, vacations are happening… It willpick up again in the fall. Trust me, I’ve been doing this for 5 years. :)

I think this is a very nice thing to do. I hate this recession, so I’ll try and do my part to keep the bloggers alive!

I’m like you, I blog because it’s fun, but it would be a dream come true to do it for a living.

Although, if money were involved, I’m afraid I would freeze up and suffer from blogger’s block!

I just joined the Blog the Recession. Such a great idea and fun as well. Another fun perk is finding great new blogs to frequent :)

I hopped over from Kristen’s place, and am glad I did. :)

I have mostly boys, so we’re a little low on estrogen around here, too. My one
daughter is enough girl for me…. I love having lots of boys!

Looks like we actually have quite a bit in common. We, at the very least, use the same vocabulary daily. WE’RE GOING TO BE BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!! Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

BFF works for me! :) Just kidding. But your blog’s name sounds much too much like real life; it’s got to be good.
