I hate worrying about cancer, but the truth is, it’s everywhere. We all know someone who has suffered from this undiscriminating disease — and we all pray that it won’t happen to us, our spouses, or our children. In a word—it sucks.
Fortunately, there are many organizations who are helping fight this disease in its different forms by funding research and awareness efforts, and one that is fighting breast cancer with a passion is Hanes.
Hanes is the official apparel in 2010 for Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure, a program that empowers women to fight breast cancer by forming teams and showing support by wearing pink for a day. Hanes is also the official t-shirt for the Komen Race for the Cure Series. They are committed to donating $500,000 total this year to these two amazing programs.
You can show your support for breast cancer survivors and those who have lost loved ones to this disease by joining Mission Pink at www.hanespink.com. Summon your inner artist and design your own T-shirt. Melina Kanakaredes did. Here she is, modeling it.
Or shop the Pink Collection for super-cute (and for-a-good-cause) apparel. Right now, buy 2 and you get a 3rd t-shirt free! What a deal! These would make great birthday or Christmas gifts for friends, sisters, moms, nieces. Stock up!
Want to win a T-shirt? I was given one of Melina’s “Hope” T-shirts to sample, and I love the design and was really impressed with the quality. (Well, duh, it’s Hanes, right?) It’s a “feminine cut” shirt, so I ordered a Large, and I wouldn’t have been able to wear a smaller size. Just so you know. Hanes is kind enough to offer to give away one of Melina’s T-shirts to one of my readers. Here’s what you need to do:
1) Visit hanespink.com and tell me which other T-shirt you like from the Pink Collection.
2) Leave a comment and let me know.
3) Tweet this giveaway and leave another comment with the link and you’ll get another entry.
4) Share on Facebook and leave a comment and, yes, another entry.
I’ll choose the winner on June 1 at 8 p.m. Please make sure you leave an email address in your comment so I can get ahold of you to obtain a size and mailing address. The T-shirt will come directly from the PR rep from Hanes.
So c’mon, leave a comment!
Disclaimer: I was given a T-shirt to sample and one to give away but was not instructed on what to write in my post.
