So, it’s Friday, and Father’s Day is Sunday. You’ve known it was coming. You’ve picked up all of the not-so subtle reminders in commercials beginning the day after Memorial Day. But do you really know what you’re doing yet? Have you picked out the card or present?
For some strange reason, the stars lined up just right and I actually have my Father’s Day gifts and one card purchased. Don’t ask me how that happened; I’m sure it was just a fluke.
But if you’re like me (most of the time) and find procrastination to be one of your favorite pastimes, don’t fret. There’s still time to give Dad a cool Father’s Day—without having to resort to a tie (Really, does anyone really WANT to get a tie as a gift?) or a 3-pack of Fruit of the Looms.
Run to WalMart and pick out a movie Dad would love and a box of microwave popcorn. Then help the kids make a set of these adorable popcorn bags, and you’ve got yourself a theme gift! Need some movie ideas? WalMart has the top 50 movies at 40% off right now. How about…

Download a free acrostic poem template from activityvillage.co.uk and have the kids use the letters of the word “Daddy” to describe him or tell him how much they love him. Pick up a frame from WalMart and you’ve got a great piece of art to hang in his office.
For just $2.50, download and print off these fun coupons for Dad, along with a super-cool card. Amy from Living Locurto is so darn clever! So great for those of us who couldn’t design our way out of a paper bag…
Parenting.com has 7 Easy-to-Make Gifts for Father’s Day, complete with photos. Just run out to Michael’s or WalMart to pick up supplies and put the kids to work. Many cute ideas to decorate Dad’s office.
